Nigeria Emerges 41st in Latest FIFA Ranking
=================================

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved three steps up, from 44th to 41st, in the latest FIFA world rankings released weekend.

The feat might not be unconnected with the recent performance of the team over the ongoing World Cup qualifying matches, particularly their last match with Zambia at Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State in which they defeated the latter with a lone goal.

Intriguingly, Tunisia who is seeking to qualify for the World Cup, has upstaged Egypt as the number one country on the continent.

Egypt is now ranked second while Senegal is in third place. The West African country needs to win just one of its two qualifying matches against South Africa to secure a World Cup ticket.

Congo DR is ranked fourth on the continent and 35th in the world while the Super Eagles of Nigeria are fifth in Africa.

The top 10 positions in the world rankings are as follows: Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland, France, Spain, Chile and Peru, respectively.
