Okorocha Names Road, Mounts Statue After Zuma

The Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha on Saturday, 14th October 2017 unveiled a giant statue of the South Africa's President Mr. Jacob Zuma in Owerri, the state capital.


The governor further named one of the inland roads in the territory after the visitor.

Mr. Zuma who arrived Imo in the night of Thursday, 12th October 2017, was on a two-day working visit to the state, reportedly to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Rochas Foundation College of Africa and the Zuma Foundation, among other issues.

                                                  

He was also conferred a traditional chieftaincy title by the state governor in collaboration with the traditional rulers in the state.

Rostrum also gathered that Gov. Okorocha equally conferred on Mr. Zuma, the Imo Merit Award, the highest award in the State conferred on distinguished personalities who have made a difference in the development of their communities and to humanity.
